Holistic sex education: Grounded in human rights, ethics & science

Are you looking for well-founded knowledge about sexuality that goes beyond basic biological knowledge? At JuuSii & the Curious Bunch, we understand sex education as a lifelong, positive process. It is not just about education in the traditional sense, but about developing a deep understanding of the diverse dimensions of human sexuality – free from prejudice, pressure to conform and outdated gender stereotypes.

Our approach is a deliberate balancing act: we are reliably shame-free, because whispering is out. This means we address things clearly and directly that are often tabooed. At the same time, we always respect individual boundaries and consistently act in a developmentally appropriate manner. We do not deliver shock therapy, but tailored answers to your questions – right where you or your group currently stand.

Our foundation: Three pillars for your safety and quality

Why can you rely on our workshops and talks? Because our work is not based on opinions, but on three internationally recognised pillars. This combination of global knowledge, local ethical responsibility and commitment to your rights makes our sex education uniquely reliable.

  1. Scientific excellence (WHO Standards):

Our content strictly follows the „Standards for Sexuality Education in Europe" by the WHO and BZgA. This guarantees that we cover topics such as diversity, psychosexual development and health in a current, evidence-based and age-appropriate manner. We use the official WHO matrix to ensure that every topic is addressed precisely when it is appropriate from a developmental psychology perspective – from early childhood to adulthood.

  1. Ethical obligation (GSP Standards):

As sex educators, we strictly commit to the professional ethical standards of the Society for Sex Education (gsp). For you, this means: we work with absolute sensitivity to discrimination, critically reflect on our own attitudes, and guarantee you the highest level of privacy protection. We actively campaign against sexualised violence and abuse and create a safe space where no one is excluded – regardless of origin, orientation or identity.

  1. Human rights-based approach (IPPF statement):

We understand sex education as the implementation of your sexual human rights. Based on the IPPF statement we aim to strengthen your right to information, autonomy, pleasure and a life free from violence. Our education aims to empower you to confidently demand and live these rights in everyday life. For us, sexuality is a positive aspect of being human that may be experienced independently of reproduction.

Diversity as a foundation: Our understanding of sexuality

One of the most important questions we answer in our work is: „What does sexuality actually mean today?“

For us, sexuality is much more than just sexual intercourse. It encompasses a broad spectrum of experiences, identities and forms of expression. In our services/programmes, we place special emphasis on the Dimensions of diversity:

  • Sexual orientation & identity: We address the entire spectrum from hetero to queer, from cis to trans and non-binary.
  • Physicality & ability: Sexuality takes place in every body – regardless of age, disability or state of health.
  • Culture & Religion: We examine how different backgrounds shape our understanding of pleasure, shame, and intimacy.
  • Life stages: From the first love through to parenthood and old age – sexuality changes, but remains a central part of being human.

Our goal is to create a space where this diversity is not merely tolerated, but actively celebrated and understood as an enrichment.

Our offers: lectures, workshops & training courses and more

We offer formats that are tailored precisely to your target audience and your questions. Our style adapts flexibly – from casual and direct to sensitive and reserved, depending on the group's needs.

  • Workshops for schools & youth centres:Here we operate strictly in a developmentally appropriate manner in accordance with WHO standards. We answer the questions that young people genuinely have – from first love all the way over to pornography and consent – without overwhelming them. Our "unabashed“ approach here means: we call things by their name so that no misunderstandings arise, but we always remain within the safe framework of the group and in compliance with gsp protection standards.
  • Presentations for organisations & companies:We explore topics such as team diversity, sexual health in the workplace and dealing with diversity. The focus here is on professional, appreciative knowledge transfer that breaks down prejudices and strengthens cooperation – always in the spirit of the IPPF human rights on non-discrimination.
  • Training courses for professionals:For educators, consultants and medical staff, we offer in-depth modules. We discuss current studies, reflect on our own attitudes and develop practical tools for everyday professional life. The same applies here: we address taboos openly („shame-free“), but equip you with the tools to professionally respect the boundaries of others and act ethically.

Our promise: Tailored answers to your questions

Whether you are coming as a teacher, a parent or a workshop participant: we listen first. Before we impart any content, we check:

  • What is the current state of knowledge?
  • Where are the individual limits of the participants?
  • What questions are really burning?

Only then do we deliver answers. We do not force anything on anyone that they are not yet ready to hear, but neither do we hide behind sugar-coated platitudes. This balance of openness and sensitivity, backed by international standards, is what makes our sex education so effective.
